By car: Access is from the central motorway, A167(M). Take the B1309 City Centre exit, Durant Road. Turn right at first set of traffic lights, along College Street. The church is situated in a pedestrian zone. Turn right into this, and the church is on the left hand side. The car park is immediately after the church building.
There is very limited car parking, and this has to be pre-booked. Taxis and delivery vans can park in front of the church whilst dropping off passengers or delivering goods.
Blue badge holders can park in the side lane next to the church if there is space.
There are public car parks off Durant Road, John Dobson Street, and behind the church: the next exit from College Street .

By Metro: The nearest metro station is Haymarket, 5 minutes walk away. Monument metro station is 10 minutes walk. In both cases walk along Northumberland Street to Northumberland Road. The Primark store is easily visible on the corner of Northumberland Road. Cross over John Dobson Street, past the City Hall, cross over College Street, and St James’s Church is on the pedestrianised walkway, on the left hand side.
By Bus: The church is close to all major city centre stopping places. The nearest are Haymarket Bus Station and Eldon Square Bus Station which are about a 5/10 minute walk.
